Q and A
Q : What shall I do if I lost my Estate Agent Card ?
A : In the event of the loss of an Estate Agent Card, the licensee should apply for a replacement from the EAA and sign a declaration indicating that his Estate Agent Card has been lost or stolen, and that he undertakes to return the lost or stolen card to the EAA if found. Details may be obtained from the Licensing Section at 2111 3883. A fee of HK$100 is payable for the replacement of a lost card. The same procedure and charge apply to the replacement of a damaged card.
Q : Is it necessary for an expired Estate Agent Card to be returned to the EAA?
A : It is not necessary to return an expired card. Upon successful renewal of the licence, a new card will be issued to the licensee. The Estate Agent Card is an identification document and licensees, for the protection of the interests of both themselves and the consumers, should destroy the cards as soon as they are expired.
