Of all the candidates, 262 were licensed
estate agents (18.3%), 223 were licensed salespersons (15.6%),
and 944 (66.1%) did not come from an estate agency background.
The pass-rate of these 3 categories is more or less the same.
Since implementation, the Computerised Salespersons Qualifying
Examinations are welcome by candidates, and the number of
examinations held each week has increased from 2 to 10. From
28 September 2001 until the end of the year, a paper-based
examination in tandem with the computer-based qualifying examination
is held once a week to increase the number of examination
opportunities and to enable those who are not computer literate
to attempt the examination. The moratorium on the re-taking
of examinations has now been reduced from 30 to 14 days.
