Working Group on the Review of the Practice Regulation Welcomes Views from the Trade

The Estate Agents Practice (General Duties and Hong Kong Residential Properties) Regulation (commonly known as the Practice Regulation), which governs the conduct of estate agency work in respect of Hong Kong residential properties, has been in force for two years. In order that the Regulation may be more effectively implemented and meet the practical needs of the trade, a working group on the review of the Regulation has been formed under the EAA. The working group has commenced its work. It will also consult the trade, consumers rights groups and the community on the subject.

The working group welcomes views and opinions from estate agency firms and practitioners on the Regulation. Such opinions should be forwarded to the Secretary, Working Group on Practice Regulation Review, Estate Agents Authority at 1701 Dah Sing Financial Centre, 108 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong, or reach him by fax at 2598 9596, before 31 December 2001.
